Hello there everyone. Hope you all are doing well. With Pride Month just around the corner it was time for an overhaul of this, the Pride Aid website.
For starters the theme is new. I liked the original one, however it was using up way too many server resources. So finally got another one and recreated the look. It is pretty much identical, it just runs a lot faster, and much lighter on the server. In other words, Pride Aid can handle lots more traffic now and serve the content to you much more efficiently.
Second up is the community discussion and support forum. We choose phpBB for this feature. It is a tried and true software, one of the most efficient and secure and its the platform of choice for some of the largest forums on the internet. This sets Pride Aid’s personal support up for something that will last, whether it be a small community to becoming one of the most active LGBTQ support forums on the net. Which ever direction it goes, the forum can certainly handle it.
Our LGBT radio station directory has seen many more additions. For the amount of radio stations we list, Pride Aid now has the largest number of active LGBTQ (and LGBT themed) radio stations on the internet. For all your Pride musical desires, look no further than right here. All free to listen to. If you have a LGBT related radio station and are not listed here yet, feel free to send us a message and it will be listed here as soon as possible.
On the side of resources and support articles, there have been several additions. They will be added (and updated) as information comes in. We won’t be mentioning every page added, but be sure there will be lots more to come. Not only specific to LGBTQ issues, but also mental health in a general capacity.
